A legacy journey.

The Santo de Piedra story is rooted in the mystical journey that Saint Louis King of France made in ancient times to the Oaxaca’s mountains to funding San Luis del Rio, according to the local oral tradition. Since then the village in where we grow, select and distill our mezcal collections, pays tribute to the Saint by blessing every batch produced in our land, by praying to him before distill a batch.  Inspired by the myth of this ancient journey, we have created  our unique mezcal collections to takes us to a journey for the senses, to celebrate the life’s quintessential moments.

We follow a curatorial approach in every aspect, from the blend of woods we use to produce each one of our mezcal editions, up to the Single Terroir Selection of San Luis del Rio, while preserving at the same time the primal myth of the foundation of our village, allocating at our distillery a Stone sculpture of Saint Louis, our spiritual patron and taking that act as inspiration for our own name in our mother language, Santo de Piedra.
