Pastorale Series x Massimo Bottura

The Pastorale Series x Massimo Bottura is conceived as a dialogue between traditions, terroirs, and memory, where Oaxaca and Modena intersect with precision and poetry. This collection pushes the limits of mezcal by weaving together ancestral mezcalero techniques with emblematic Modenese practices, creating a liquid composition rooted in respect, curiosity, and cultural exchange. Crafted from 100% wild Tepeztate agave, the agaves are cooked and distilled following a recipe developed by Bottura, incorporating juniper wood traditionally used in the production of Aceto Balsamico at the acetaia of Osteria Francescana. Distilled twice and bottled at 43.5% ABV, the profile is vertical, complex, and contemplative, balancing herbal tension, resinous depth, and a refined, lingering salinity. Produced in extremely limited quantities and entirely by hand, each bottle is presented as a singular piece, reflecting the shared belief that creation cannot be rushed and that true luxury resides in time, restraint, and intention.
