La Pastorale Secondo Movimento by Massimo Bottura is the final release of La Pastorale, bringing to a close a creative dialogue between Oaxaca and Modena, their traditions, terroirs, and memories. This concluding movement comprises the last 1,500 decanters of the series, rested in glass in Oaxaca for over a year before release. Once allocated, no further editions will follow.

Crafted from 100% wild Tepeztate agave, the mezcal follows a recipe developed with Massimo Bottura, incorporating juniper wood traditionally used in the production of Aceto Balsamico at the acetaia of Osteria Francescana. Ancestral mezcalero techniques meet Modenese practices in a composition shaped by respect, curiosity, and a shared understanding of time.

Double-distilled and bottled at 43.5% ABV, its profile is vertical and complex, balancing herbal tension, resinous depth, and a refined, lingering salinity. Each handmade decanter carries the final expression of this encounter, a finite work whose completion is part of its meaning.
